At Reform Initiative Uganda, we believe that education and empowerment are the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty and dependence. Through our Education & Empowerment program, we create pathways for orphans, vulnerable children, sex workers, people with disabilities, and even the elderly to gain knowledge, skills, and confidence to live productive and dignified lives.

We go beyond simply providing school fees—we create a supportive environment where learning, mentorship, and personal growth can flourish. This program is designed to restore hope by building practical, sustainable futures.

Education for Orphans & Vulnerable Children

Education is the key to changing the future of children born into poverty or orphaned by disease, conflict, or abandonment. Many of these children are unable to attend school due to lack of tuition, uniforms, or supplies. Our initiative provides:

School fees payment for primary and secondary education
Scholastic materials, including books, pens, uniforms, and shoes
Mentorship programs that guide children socially, spiritually, and academically
Sanitary towels and hygiene kits for adolescent girls to keep them in school with dignity
Nutritional support for improved learning and health

Skills Training for Sex Workers & Vulnerable Women

For many women trapped in commercial sex work, the lack of viable income options keeps them in a dangerous cycle of exploitation. Our vocational empowerment program equips these women with practical skills to start over, including:

Tailoring, baking, and craft-making training
Entrepreneurship and business management workshops
Start-up kits and seed capital to launch small businesses
Mentorship and ongoing support to ensure sustainability

Each woman trained is a life reclaimed—given a chance to live with dignity and purpose. Help us empower women to walk away from exploitation through practical skills.

Inclusive Learning for People with Disabilities

We believe that disability is not inability. Yet, many children and youth with disabilities are denied access to education due to physical or financial barriers. Our support includes:

Special-needs education support and tuition
Assistive learning materials and devices
Sign language interpretation and inclusive classroom support
Skills training for older youth and adults with disabilities
